For the first few times we just had to point at what we wanted and say 1 or 2 kilos. Then we got smart and wrote a list of all of the things we wanted in Italian. The locals laugh at us when we get word pronunciations wrong but they respect the fact we tried :). Andrew went into a tanning salon the other day to find out how much it was for me to go and if it even was a tanning salon lol. He said it was merely impossible to translate “is this where you tan in a bed..ya know lay down and get sun” lol. Oh if I could have only been there watching that!
